Cultural Grants 

 

Each year the Town of Oakville makes operating and project grants available to qualified not-for-profit cultural organizations. The Oakville Arts Council, on behalf of the Town of Oakville, administers the cultural grant program. 

 

The Town of Oakville has provided $98,000 
to non-profit local arts groups

for the 2008 Cultural Grants Program

The Oakville Arts Council is pleased to announce the approved increase of $20,000 and would like to extend tremendous thanks to the Cultural Grants Review Committee, for putting the recommendations forward.

The Oakville Arts Council extends a special thank you to Claire Loughheed, Manager, Culture and Heritage Services with the Town of Oakville.  She worked diligently with Megan Whittington, OAC Executive Director, to redefine the eligibility and evaluation criteria, simplifying the application process.

 

The Town of Oakville has granted $98,000 to fifteen Arts & Culture groups, moving the per capita funding to approximately $.60.  Eight organizations are first time recipients.
