His animation "HYPOTHERMIA / My Kayak Prayer", completed in 2008, in 35mm film with two awarded production grants from each of the Ontario Arts Council and the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto, won Best Animation at the 2020 Conquering Disabilities With Film International Film Festival ! As well, the compilation of "HESUS JOY CHRIST to date" won a Best Director Award at the same festival in 2021 !
Furthermore, the following episode "HESUS JOY CHRIST / Matthew's Five's Nine" won a Best Micro Short Film Award, November 23, 2021, at the Anatolia International Film Festival in Istanbul, Turkey ! HJC/Matthew's Five's Nine was submitted to 98 film festivals worldwide and received 16 recognitions ranging from Selected and Nominated, to Best Religious Short, Honourable Mention and Best Animation!
Currently, since August 2020, and through each winter of 2021, 2022, and 2023 - hoping to be completed sometime around 2025, the seventh episode, "HESUS JOY CHRIST / Matthew's Sixth Sense" is in full production !
Four diverse publications he created and co-created are available on the Oakville Arts Council Store website.
For at least two winters, David drew 15 minute live pencil portraits for free, for about a total of 60 persons at a weekly Friday Night Community Dinner in Burlington.
