"The Queen Elizabeth Park Community Centre will be a welcoming space for community user groups, individuals and families. Through programming and collaborative initiatives developed by the Town of Oakville and the many users, the Centre will become a centre for creativity, inspiration and individual development"

Bernadette is bang on!- This new facility is more than welcome and will unite and serve not only the Bronte Community but actually all of Oakville- The Most liveable Town  In Canada.

I am most appreciative of the unity and togetherness fostered by the Oakville Arts Council

This is a nice statement.  What concerns me is that it is long and not very memorable.  Something crisp and easy to recall is what is needed.  This could apply to any organization, doing anything, anywhere.  Let's make it exciting, aspirational and applicable to arts and culture.

Oakville, and the art of living.

I'm being a little tongue in cheek.. I just wanted to express my joy of finding a Forum dedicated to the Oakville Arts. This is a very proactive means of gaining community involvement.  I also had not heard of the QEPCC being sanctioned for the arts either. So Hello, and I hope to get to know everyone here.

    Hi Christine,

Welcome! I'm glad you found the forum and I hope that you enjoy participating. I'm the Communications Manager here at the arts council and building community around the arts is very important to us. We will be creating more forums around the different issues facing the sector.

If you are interested in receiving information about issues such as QEPCC we do have a free "Information" membership. This will include you on our mailing list for our e-news, invites, etc. You can sign up for this by clicking on Join Us on the main menu above.

    Regards, Bernadette

Thankyou Bernadette! I did just that. I'm looking forward to hearing from the Council again.
