Megan Whittington was hired as Executive Director of the Oakville Arts Council in December 2006. Having attended an arts school since the age of ten, Megan holds over 25 years of training in the arts and a BA Specialist Degree in Theatre from the University of Toronto. Key roles and responsibilities at the Oakville Arts Council include: strategic leadership and planning; organizational effectiveness and administration; fund-raising and business development; financial management and staff development and recognition. With over 11 years experience as an administrative leader in the not-for-profit arts sector, Megan’s past experience includes being the Development Director for the Mississauga Arts Council, working with Foundations and soliciting Corporate Donations for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and building Partnerships and Sponsorships for the Canadian Opera Company.  She enjoys participating in community theatre, as well as writing and performing her own music.




Bernadette Ward

Bernadette Ward has been the Communications Manager for the Oakville Arts Council since 2005.  She has studied journalism at Sheridan College and Communications at McMaster University. She has experience in progressively responsible positions as a professional communicator including staff reporting at Oakville Today and Assistant Editor of The Halton Compass as well as freelancing for local Halton publications including the Oakville Beaver and Milton Champion. She is a skilled photographer and is experienced in the development of print and electronic publications. The Communications Manager is responsible for all print publications, promotional materials, marketing campaigns, media relations, website and technology development and management.



Ray Chisholm

Ray Chisholm joined the Oakville Arts Council in 2011 as Membership and Development Director. Ray comes to us with demonstrated expertise and strengths in strategic planning, financial management, operations management, employee leadership and community/Council engagement. He will work closely with both the CommUnity Arts Space Board of Directors and with the OAC management team to meet objectives related to their respective Ontario Trillium Foundation grants. Ray will work with OAC members in areas such as capacity building and developing an understanding of current and future needs of the membership.

Pamela’s key roles and responsibilities for the Oakville Arts Council include: managing the Membership; coordinating and communicating Oakville Arts Council member events (Creative Connections, workshops, AGM); research, data entry, filing; website calendar management; invoices and banking; volunteer management.

Lisa Giordano-Hoehn is the most recent addition to the Oakville Arts Council team. Lisa will be reaching out to the community to build awareness of the Oakville Arts Council and to encourage Oakville's many artists to become a part of the Oakville Arts Council.

Lisa is a graduate of Sheridan College Visual Merchandising Arts; Honours graduate of Seneca Theatre Performance; Sears and Switzer Toronto Acting Studio; Miriam Lawrence Film Studies; Dundas Valley School of Art – numerous classes and workshops; Sheridan College Decorators Program-in process; Art Gallery Guide at The Art Gallery of Ontario.
