These Governance workshops are free for our members and affiliated board members. These workshops are an invaluable tool for any Not-for-Profit Organization working with, or looking to establish a board of directors.
Registration is closed
This workshop will provide essential foundational information for Boards of Directors,
including:
A review of governance models to support understanding of how the roles and responsibilities
of boards and their members have evolved to meet the expectations of today
A review of the roles of chair, officers, members, committees as it relates to governance
responsibilities and speaking for the board
An exploration of decision making “in the best interest of the agency or organization”
Board liability: collective and individual accountability for oversight, decision-making,
reputation, etc.
